The Unitarian Universalist Association’s General Assembly 2013 will be in Louisville Kentucky from June 19-23.
General Assembly is an awesome experience but can be a bit pricey, so here are some low cost options.
There is a FREE Worship Service on Sunday June 23. Come camp out with members of our church on Saturday so we can all worship with UU congregations from across the country on Sunday morning.
Deam Lake State Recreation Area (Indiana) is about 20 miles north of the Convention Center where GA will be held. It is in Indiana conveniently located just off I-65. It has great trails, boating, and exciting archeology and fossils. Camp sites are $20 per night with electric. Cabins are $35 per night. Reserve online at http://www.camp.in.gov or contact Rae Schnapp at firstname.lastname@example.org or 765-714-4829.
Home Hospitality: The host churches in the Louisville area are coordinating economical home hospitality for the 2013 GA. “Although our offerings are not professional bed-and-breakfast facilities, we welcome you into our homes to enjoy a friendly environment and meet fellow Unitarian Universalists (UUs). Proceeds collected from your stay will benefit the host’s congregation. Apply for home hospitality through our online registration process, available beginning March 1, 2013”.
