Religious exploration: July

Beginning in July, we return to our normal Sunday morning routine, with children K-5th grade starting out in the sanctuary with parents through the Time For All Ages segment of the service. After that, they will be dismissed for supervised play in the fellowship hall or playground. We are still in need of volunteers for summer to provide child supervision during the service for July and August. There is a sign up sheet in the library (near the newcomers table). It’s an easy gig and a great way to get to know some of our great kids.

Registration for Peace and Nature Camp for kids entering grades K-5 this fall is happening now! A link to forms can be found here or hard copies are available at church. Camp runs August 5-7 from 5-8 pm in the evening, and the $45 tuition (($30 for each additional from the same family) includes t-shirt, snack, and all activities. Come interact with special critter and puppet guests, learn about and make mandalas, make a coded bracelet, play games, sing songs, and more!

Our group had a great time in Louisville at General Assembly. Nothing like a road trip for bonding with your group—though I met new people and had interesting conversations every day, I can say with all sincerity that the most enjoyable were with the youth in our own group.
